Your sprinkler company is responsible for testing and maintaining . Tha alarm co. is responsible for there connection to pre-action panel. I prefer for sprinkler co to discharge there own panel , but that dose not always happen. Yes you can have relay from fire panel . It should be dumped by 2 devices , one being a field device and low air pressure .Some times 2 field devices, There are other options to to activate this as well. This should be connected to some communicator , most times by module that reports to the building fire panel.

What are some of the Standards for a Sprinkler Pre-Actions System.

Can it only be an Initiation Device that Activates The system? Or Can it be an Relay Output?
Who is responsible for the Testing of the System. ie batteries, interconnections to fire panel, and signals.
If its in a building with a main FACP, Is it treated like a Fire Alarm Control Panel as well?

Thanks
