NJDCA vs NJDCA?

What is the difference between the fire alarm license issued by the NJ Department of Consumer Affairs under the board of electrical examiners and the fire alarm contractor certification issued by the NJ Department of Community Affairs division of fire safety?

Both will allowed you to work on fire alarms in New Jersey.
Licensed electricians needed to be able to install fire alarms, so I think they grandfathered the licensed electricians.
The new Electrical license test has a fire alarm section (mostly NFPA72).
If you are not a Licensed electrician you need to go the DCA - Division of Consumer Affairs way.

a friend was talking to a locksmith that installs BA and access system, and he said that there is two ways within NJDCA to get licensed for fire, and you only need to be NICET lvl2 to get the license.
I think this is what you were looking for
(This is not the Licensed electricians)
Hopefully someone will post more info
