Post by donpccc »

Hi every one,
Rthis is bad month for us. We using est-3 control panel, Siga-ct1 + sim-intl for addressible monitor. And using 711u, 721ut, ec heat detector. But now many zone of smoke detector get fault alarm while the room is verry clean and heat detector working normal.
Please help us advice,
300 over 2000 detector get fault alarm.

Thank you,

R YOUR DETECTORS 4WIRE ONES?

MAYBE YOUR POWER IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY, AND THEY GOES INTO FAULT FOR THAT REASON.

SEEMS THAT YOUR PROBLEM IS YOUR POWER SUPPLIES YOU'D BETTER INSTALL CT1'S TO MONITOR THEM

The EST SLC loop does have a history of siga smokes detectors false alarming,
I have not found the cause, although I think it is noise on the SLC loop.

To try and get a better idea of the problem.
You have 3000 CT1s connected to 4/2 wire smokes and the CT1's are false alarming?
give he more info: any siga smokes, "IS THE WIRE SHIELDED OR UNSIELDED", are the SLC loops full.

If you find the problem I would like to know what you found.

i have the same problem, the alarm usually occurs at noon or night time, I observe the sim intl at this time, it goes into alarm then restores to normal in a matter of second, the siga-ct1 goes into alarm. What I did was configure the siga-ct1 to 'general alarm' then set it to 'delayed alarm' .

THE PERSONALITY OF GENALARM, MAKES YOU CONFUSE SINCE ANY ALARM WILL TRIGGER YOUR NAC´S, IS BETTER IF YOU CHANGE THAT PERSONALITY.

check first your wiring,
check also if there is no perturbation around your CT1 like X ray ;high voltage...

maximum 20 pcs 711u per simntl
- that's is stupid way to fixed error.
The first i call GE-UTC Product manager man from Singapore direct to the Site. After, confirm the devices may be error!
Change 700 detector with new ones. Now the error seem decrease but some time has get fault alarm..
This project..

Had similar problem found 480v for pressure fan going through siga-cr back feeding through relay onto slc loop. Separated high voltage from relay via a Pam relay no problems similar since.
