Hi All,
I am doing fire alarm system maintenance in my plant. We are using EST3 system. If I want to change any communication module like 3-RS232, I need to take out the CPU from the main power bus. So, the configuration and other programs we need to load again? I am asking whether the program erased or not?

all do respect you could not mess with the panel.
change out smokes, not a problem

the program will not be lost if you pull the cpu to replace the 232 board
fyi the 3-rs232 is not bad

is this a big system?
if the system does not come back up how bad will it be?
I would not touch it if I was you.
