Is it a professional or Enterprise Install

Facility Commander professional for non-server PC's, the installation CD will install SQL Express
Facility Commander Enterprise is for server PC's full SQL Server 2005/2008 is required.

In many cases the Enterprise version was used do to the fact that many customers wanted to put the system on a server computer, but with VM FC will almost always be put on a server, so professional becomes a better choice. it is a easier install, less time, less money, more of a standard install, all around better, the only disadvantage is the 4gig level which only would limit the number of years of achieved history/card readers. Few need years of achieved history the 4gig will do fine. Once a year purge the achieved history and you will be fine.

Upgrading Secure Perfect 6.1 to Facility Commander 7.6

Tips: Try and use the same computer name and IP Address.

Steps:
1. Put the Micros offline
1.2 If copying over the achieve file check the size you may want to purge some of it.
1.3 Then do a Backup of SQL on the secure perfect system.
2. Install FC on new computer, it will reboot, then install.
3. Create database
4.Restore SQL - database maintenace
5.copy from SP the Image, Design folders to FC (do not replace the folder only copy the files from withion)
6.Convert database via, Create database, which will convert SP6.1 to FC7.6 (answer yes to do you want to create) 15 minutes
7. licence software
8. Change the FC services to auto.
9. start FC and login with the old secure perfect password. Login=secure pw=master
note: the old SP login password is restore so FC login will be secure pw=master
10.Change hostnames on Micros if you did not use the same computer name. (micro config)
11. Put Micros online, some micros may not communicate, if you use old sp IP address this would fix it. The Micros not coming online is do to putting a host ip in the micros config. The PXNPlus panels you can web in and change, the PXN controls you are going to need to visit.
