Facility Commander SQL consideration

When to use SQL Express or SQL Server 2005/2008

Facility Commander professional for non-server PC's, the installation CD will install SQL Express
Facility Commander Enterprise is for server PC's full SQL Server 2005/2008 is required.

Why Facility Commander Enterprise over Facility Commander professional
Facility Commander Enterprise must be installed on a Server and Requires full SQL 2005/2008, which will all cost more, advantage-unlimited database size.
Facility Commander Professional must be installed on a XP pro computer and it will install the free SQL Express. database limit of 4gig.

• SQL 2008 Express (FCWnx 7.5 Professional Edition)
• SQL 2008 Server (FCWnx 7.5 Enterprise and Global Editions)

I am Running Full SQL Server 2005/2008 on a server or cluster, can I use it.
NO
True is you could, but you would need to reinstall SQL server or rename the SQL instance.
If you are running SQL server you are not going to touch its installation so you can install a card access system on it.

The long and short of it is, the SQL instance MUST be named SPSQL or it will not work.
The SQL instance name is what you call the installation of SQL server on a computer, it's not a database within the SQL server it is the name of the installation of SQL on a server computer.

So if you are going to use Facility Commander Enterprise you need a server pc and dedicated SQL server 2005/2008.
