Kidde vm1

Post by Dustin.J »

Kidde vm-1 with 25 siga aa50 amplifiers. Driving 50 cc1 modules. When mic is keyed panel goes into trouble, generally around 4. When mic key is released many more troubles come in, generally around 30. Then they all fall off, except for a few, which read riser flt act. Those troubles clear on a reset, and panel goes back to normal until mic is keyed again. Please help

aa50 amplifier tells me that this maybe an older system.
sometimes older speakers have excessive capacitance look at the below post
http://www.thealarmtech.com/forum/viewt ... ance#p1095

when the mic is keyed the trouble for the cc1 should be disabled,
also the capacitor on a few of the speakers maybe bad causing the troubles.

This is a new install using the new system sensor L series speaker strobes. The troubles that stay on the panel are RISER FLT ACT, & INTRNL TRBL ACT. The troubles come from the amplifiers themselves.

Amplifiers are being overdriven. Check your gain on each amp. Also could be too many watts pulled.
