Prowatch - Overview

Post by Leo »

Netwatch was the company that made the prowatch system, which honeywell bought.
OVERView
It uses windows authentication, which means no logins for the program, only the OS

The Prowatch software is a little funny and it takes some getting uses to, if you are not careful it will change things you did not want changed. remember ALWAYS ESC out of screens if you can.

copy/paste locks up when in Prowatch, close prowatch and reopen it will be fine.

The SEARCH works nice, use the % as the wiuldcard ie. reader 1.2 - blgd 100 main OR %1.2 OR %1.2%
MSDE will only work up to 2gig, so when backing up check file's size.

Soft COS (change of state) is a COS via a schedule.
Status groups are created within the Database config.
Strike time is within the READER tap not Lock tap of the logical device.
PW-5000 interlocks just would not work for me, also it makes changes to the data if you are not careful.
Honeywell charges about $130 for phone support.
EV_LOG size limit exceeded, - event log is getting big - TRUNCATE it - http://www.thealarmtech.com/forum/viewt ... f=23&t=363
