Re: Winpak - Site Codes

Post by jperry »

We have a couple N-1000-IV that are setup with the max of 8 site codes. We are looking to remove a couple site codes in order to add a new one however we are unsure which of the old site codes we can remove. Win-Pak PE does not appear to have this data in it anywhere. I connected up to one of the panels with a terminal connection but can only see this type of data when someone swipes their badge..

This has the door and the badge number but no site code.

Do you know how I can enable the terminal to show site code?

Thank you!

the site code or facility is not assigned to a cards
it is just in the panel as a valid site code that any card can use.

Winpak - Site Codes

Post by Leo »

The default setup for winpak is to not use Site Codes.

Site codes are per panel
To use site codes:
config ->device map -> edit panel ->options ->(add up to 6 site code)

If no site codes are entered, the panel will ignore the site code on the card.
If a site code is enter with in Winpak, you can go into terminal mode and see the cards site code.
Terminal Mode (hyper terminal) will not display site codes if it is not turned on in the panel via winpak.

Checking the Site Code within Terminal Mode
Turn on site codes by entering a code and loading it to the panel.
Then go into terminal mode and swipe a card. (check terminal mode post )
The card site code will now by displayed on swipes.
